What We Do

Take what you need, give what you can.

GT Davis founded PCBB during the 2020 pandemic when things were shut down and Pueblo needed resources. He built the first Blessing Box in Pueblo and posted on his Facebook for others to come help fill it. Pueblo did what it does best and kept his Blessing Box so full that he started building others. As the community got wind of what was happening, multiple people and organizations came to help and run their own blessing boxes.

Pueblo County Blessing Boxes has 29 locations in both Pueblo & Pueblo West. We fill these boxes twice a week with the help of our volunteer team! The boxes serve as a 24/7 food pantry to help meet the needs of the community. There is no sign in and no requirements, we just ask that you give back when you can.

Throughout the years, we have gotten to know the various communities that use our boxes. We try to tailor each box to meet the needs of those who frequent it. Be it school-aged kids needing a snack, families with children, a sick elderly neighbor, or an unhoused friend: we just want to make sure people get fed. We believe food is a non-negotiable resource that should not be merit-based. We love Pueblo & Pueblo West and believe that everyone is worthy of food and being fed.

We fill our boxes twice weekly, but we have the capacity to do so much more! Pueblo helps its own, and our organization is proof of that. Pueblo rallies around us time and time again to keep Blessing Boxes filled so that we are able to bridge the gap between resources in the food systems world.

Where We're Going

A grassroots movement to help others gains ground in Pueblo & Pueblo West.

We are so happy to be partnering with Rocky Mountain Service, Employment, and Redevelopment! We will fall under the RMSER umbrella of services and we have a home base at their 330 Lake Ave. location where we can store food and send volunteers out with food to fill Blessing Boxes. RMSER provides invaluable mentorship to our organization and has given us opportunity after opportunity to grow and better our community.

Our Board.

Our board has diverse specialties that make each and every person a perfect fit for their position. We collaborate and brainstorm our gifts, talents, and time in order to bring the best to our Pueblo community. Please contact any one of us if you have questions or concerns about PCBB. We can't wait to meet you and connect you with ways to help!
